Crawdad boil

So yesterday I took the family to a small pond close by. I wanted to take them down an old school memory lane of mine; the art of crawdad fishing. Stopped at the grocery store and paid $1.22 for three raw drumsticks. At the pond, tied them up to some old fishing line and tossed them off the shore. As I stood up and turned to my family of skeptics staring at me, I was soon the one laughing. Ha, two minutes later I pulled my first crawdad slowly out of the water. Ah ha look, the skeptics are interested and moving closer. Eventually, dozens were pulled out. Orion was fascinated, Ami was awed and hooked liked one of my poor crawdads. In fact, they were still biting despite the barrage of rocks being thrown into the water. Dads, get some raw chicken, string and go have a blast for hours with your kiddos.

Happily married to an absolute dream come true woman, Ami. Who has blessed me with two absolute dream come true children, Orion and Cassi. Now my goal everyday is to do life with my children. Whether I go shopping or in the kitchen cooking, my children will be right there with me. Talking through my actions, involving them in decision making and understanding options available. Pitching tents, trails to hike and adventures to come, they will be my side.
